Job Description
The role is for a virtual, remote work internship in Corporate Development for El Toro Capital Management (ETC), with exposure to New Century Capital Partners (NCCP).
Job Title: Intern-Analyst/Mentorship Program in Corporate Development for Private Equity/Investment Banking.
Program Overview:
This is an intensive, unpaid 6-month internship designed to provide a unique opportunity for candidates to further develop analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, while taking on meaningful responsibility in real-world corporate development assignments. Intern-Analysts will be directly involved in new corporate development efforts for the private equity fund, gaining direct exposure to company management teams and receiving direct mentorship from Senior Managing Directors. Additionally, exposure to Investment Banking activities through NCCP will be provided.
Key Responsibilities & Involvement:
Intern-Analysts will be heavily involved in:
• Market research and industry analysis for Private Equity.
• Direct calling, emailing, and marketing to management teams of emerging Technology companies.
• Creating and managing company and industry databases.
• Developing corporate presentations and industry analyses.
• Performing financial analysis of Technology companies specifically in Digital Media, Cybersecurity, and SaaS Software.
• Participating in specific learning modules on various topics in Private Equity and Investment Banking.
• Working directly with Senior Managing Directors on a daily basis.
Schedule and Commitment:
• Full-time, unpaid internship position for a period of 6 months.
• Start date: Wednesday, November 5, 2025, with an option to start earlier.
• Work availability: All Intern-Analysts must commit to being available to work from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm PT every day (Monday through Friday).
• Daily Zoom Call: Participation in a Zoom video call from 7:00 am to 10:00 am PT every day (Monday through Friday) is mandatory.
• Location: The program is entirely virtual, working from home or a location of your choice via video conferencing.
• Domicile Requirement: All candidates must be domiciled in the United States during the Internship.
Position Requirements:
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Proficiency in finding/researching information on the Internet.
• Superior leadership skills and capacity to facilitate cross-functional initiatives.
• Highly motivated, pro-active self-starter in an aggressive team-oriented environment.
• Capacity to think “outside of the box” and contribute to creative solutions.
• Self-starter with the self-discipline to work extended periods without being micro-managed.
• Very strong work ethic and willingness to add value to growing companies with a positive attitude.
• Knowledge of corporate finance and accounting is a PLUS.
