The Tone:
This is an internship at Shambaugh & Son, L.P. The company is one of the largest mechanical, electrical, and plumbing contractors in Indiana, specializing in new and retrofit construction across industrial, food processing, commercial, institutional, healthcare, pharmaceutical, and bio-fuel projects. This role is an opportunity for students to support various company functions, including engineering, project management, technical, business services, accounting, or clerical operations, while gaining valuable experience. Interns will apply their academic knowledge in a practical, hands-on environment and contribute to the company’s diverse projects.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Professional Development: Learn the core responsibilities and practices of your desired profession within the company.
• Office Support: Fulfill essential administrative duties around the office to maintain efficient operations.
• Practical Application: Incorporate academic knowledge from your studies into hands-on work experiences.
• Technical Design: Work with design software such as AutoCAD or REVIT for relevant tasks.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with and provide support to senior professionals on various initiatives.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Student, actively attending an academic program (High School or University).
• Experience: Must be 18 years of age; proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
• Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; self-directed and able to work without supervision; energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas; willingness to learn new skills; regular and reliable attendance, including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as required.
