Emo Nite is a company that creates events and experiences for fans of emo, pop-punk, and alternative music. They also host full-day festivals and curate performances at major events like Coachella, Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, and Firefly. In addition to events, they create clothing collaborations with well-known brands. Emo Nite aims to create a community around the music and culture they celebrate.

Job Description:

Emo Nite is seeking a highly motivated and proactive Intern to join their production team in Calabasas, CA. This is a hands-on internship experience in a fast-paced environment. This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Production Manager & Production Coordinator in maintaining, updating, and organizing company databases and calendars using Airtable & Google Calendars.
• Assist in coordinating with Emo Nite teams in different regions regarding event operations, leading up to events, and day-of details.
• Assist the Production Coordinator with theme research, scenic procurement, staffing parties, advancing with staff and venues, and booking travel.
• Aggregate information to create content for Emo Nite’s digital outlets (Emo Nite Radio, social media) and assist in shooting content.
• Provide on-site assistance at Emo Nite events.
• Assist with organizing and maintaining the physical Emo Nite storage unit.
• Act as a runner and help with errands on a weekly basis and for larger events.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge and interest in the music industry, specifically emo/rock music, and Emo Nite’s brand.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong technical skills in the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with project management tools like Asana or Airtable is a plus.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a vehicle.

Work Environment:

• Must be willing to travel to work during holidays, evening, and weekend hours as required.
• Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels and drastic temperature changes while working on-site at events.
• Must be able to work in an open-concept office space.
