Emo Nite is a cultural phenomenon that brings together fans of emo, pop-punk, and alternative music through unforgettable events. Starting in a small bar in East L.A., Emo Nite has expanded to over 50 cities across the U.S. They host events, full-day festivals, and curate performances at major events like Coachella, Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, and Firefly. Emo Nite has also launched clothing collaborations with well-known brands, solidifying their presence as a driving force in the emo and alternative culture scene.

Job Description:

Emo Nite is seeking a highly motivated and proactive Intern to join their production team in Calabasas, CA. This is a hands-on internship in a fast-paced setting, requiring in-person work (not remote).

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Production Manager (PM) and Production Coordinator (PC) in maintaining, updating, and organizing company databases and calendars, primarily using Airtable & Google calendars.
• Assist PM & PC in coordination with Emo Nite teams in different regions regarding event operations leading up to the event and day-of details as needed.
• Assist the PC in various tasks, including theme research, scenic procurement, staffing parties, advancing with staff and venues, and booking travel.
• Aggregate information to create content for Emo Nite digital platforms (Emo Nite Radio and social media), and help shoot content when needed.
• Provide on-site assistance at Emo Nite events.
• Assist the PM and Administrative Assistant in organizing and maintaining the physical Emo Nite storage unit.
• Serve as a runner and assist with errands on a weekly basis and for larger events.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge and interest in the music industry, particularly emo/rock music, and familiarity with the Emo Nite brand.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across departments and functions.
• Strong technical skills in the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with project management tools like Asana or Airtable is a plus.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and vehicle.

Work Environment:

• Must be willing to work during holidays, evenings, and weekend hours as required.
• Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels and drastic temperature climates while working on-site at various event locations.
• Must be able to work in an open-concept office space.
