This is an internship at City of Rialto, located in Rialto, CA. The City of Rialto offers college students and recent graduates a unique opportunity to gain professional experience within local government. This program is designed as a staffing pipeline to identify and cultivate future management, leadership, and professional talent for the City. Interns will immerse themselves in the operations of local government and contribute to various city divisions, aligning with their intended career disciplines while providing broad career exposure.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Immerse: Delve into the day-to-day operations of local government, understanding its functions and processes.
• Collaborate: Work directly with city employees, department managers, elected officials, and community leaders across different departments.
• Explore: Gain broad career exposure across diverse city divisions such as City Administration, Finance, Human Resources, Public Safety, and Public Works.
• Learn: Receive mentorship and shadowing opportunities from experienced City staff, enhancing professional development.
• Evaluate: Undergo a formal performance evaluation upon the program’s completion, providing structured feedback on your contributions.

The Must-Haves
• Background: College student or recent graduate seeking professional experience in local government.
• Experience: No prior professional experience is required. Must possess a valid Class “C” California driver’s license.
• Conditions: Ability to pass a physical exam (including drug screening), DOJ Fingerprinting, and a comprehensive background investigation.
