M&A Integrations Intern | Blue River PetCare

The Tone:
This is a temporary, part-time internship at Blue River PetCare, located in Chicago, IL (within a 40-mile radius of 1 S. Wacker Dr. Chicago, IL 60606). Blue River PetCare manages and expands a network of veterinary hospitals, and this role directly supports the critical onboarding process for prospective clinics joining the organization. The Integrations Intern plays a supportive role in ensuring a smooth and efficient transition for new clients, gaining hands-on experience in client onboarding, relationship management, and project support within a corporate environment. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the company’s growth by facilitating seamless integrations.

The TL;DR

• Type: Temporary, Part-Time (approximately 24 hours per week, with an expected duration of up to 4 months)
• Location: In-person, Chicago, IL
• Pay: $20–$22 hourly
• Team: Specialist Team, reporting to the Specialist Supervisor
• Mission: Facilitate the seamless integration of new veterinary hospitals into the Blue River PetCare network by providing comprehensive support for the onboarding process and various related projects.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Onboarding Coordination: Assist the Specialist Team in managing the end-to-end onboarding process for new veterinary hospitals.
• Information & Data Processing: Help process necessary information and documentation from prospective clients, including data collection and analysis.
• Project Management Support: Manage multiple onboarding projects simultaneously, offering support for more complex acquisitions and initiatives.
• Documentation & Record-Keeping: Create and maintain accurate and complete documentation of all client onboarding activities and project details.
• Regulatory Learning: Learn about relevant regulatory requirements and industry best practices pertinent to veterinary hospital integrations.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program, preferably in Business, Management, or a related field. This is an entry-level internship designed to provide hands-on experience.
• Experience: Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, is required. Familiarity with online meeting technical details, including meeting setup, hosting, and participation protocols, is also essential.
• Skills: Strong analytical, data analysis, and interpretation skills; exceptional organizational and time management skills for managing multiple tasks; excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration; a detail-oriented approach with a high degree of accuracy; and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment while adapting quickly to changing priorities and building rapport.
• Bonus: Prior experience with Salesforce is a plus.
