The Tone:
This is a full-time role at a leading International Private Equity Fund, located in Houston. This Fund specializes in the Power, Infrastructure, and Renewables sectors and has demonstrated strategic growth even amidst market uncertainty. Adding an Associate is crucial for expanding investment activities, ensuring robust deal execution, and maintaining the strategic direction of its portfolio companies.

• Mission: Owns the end-to-end investment mandate execution and portfolio management for new and existing PUI & Renewables opportunities.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Origination: Lead origination and marketing efforts to source new investment opportunities.
• Execution: Manage the execution of live investment mandates from start to finish.
• Deal Structuring: Construct appropriate deal structures to minimize risk.
• Research & Presentation: Research and draft internal investment memoranda, then present recommendations to appropriate parties.
• Portfolio Management: Monitor and manage operations around the fund’s portfolio to maintain strategic growth.
• Team Development: Support the management and development of the junior team.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree. Career level: Associate with essential expertise in Power, Infrastructure, and/or Renewables.
• Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of relevant work experience in Investment Banking (M&A).
• Skills: Financial modeling expertise, high proficiency across the Microsoft Office suite, strong verbal and written communication skills, capability to manage multiple projects and work to strict deadlines, and a team player mentality with the ability to operate independently.
• Bonus: An MBA from a top-ranked institution.
