Industrial Sales Account Manager Trainee – Development Program | GHX Industrial, LLC

The Tone:
This is a comprehensive development program designed for recent graduates to launch a career in industrial sales, leading to a full-time sales role at GHX Industrial, a SunSource company. GHX is a growing organization with roots dating back to 1937, now a highly recognized value-added distributor and fabricator of industrial gaskets and hoses. The company serves a diverse customer base, including large refining and petrochemical clients, upstream oil and gas service and supply companies, OEMs, and mineral and mining enterprises nationwide. This program offers participants extensive training, hands-on experience, and dedicated mentorship, preparing them to successfully transition into a full-time sales position within an assigned territory.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Develop: Participate in a structured training program, spending 60 days at the GHX headquarters in Houston, TX, followed by 10 months at a local GHX office, gaining foundational knowledge.
• Mentor: Receive ongoing mentorship and engage in professional development opportunities to foster continuous growth.
• Master: Receive in-depth product training specifically focused on industrial gaskets and hoses, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the offerings.
• Acquire: Learn full-cycle outside sales skills by working alongside experienced Account Managers on joint sales calls.
• Cultivate: Build strong, lasting relationships with both new and existing customers, understanding their needs and fostering trust within the industrial sector.
• Solve: Address real-world customer challenges and technical issues by expertly providing appropriate product and technical solutions.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level professionals with an Associate degree or technical training in a related field.
• Experience: Willingness to relocate for training and final placement; mechanical interest and aptitude.
• Skills: Strong verbal and written communication with an outgoing, friendly, and approachable demeanor; competitive nature with a drive for winning and commitment to delivering top results.
• Bonus: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Distribution, Engineering, Supply Chain, Sales, or a related field; coursework, training, or certifications in Fluid Power, Fluid Process, or Fluid Conveyance; internship or co-op experience in a sales, distribution, or manufacturing environment.
