Industrial/Environmental Cleaning Technician | MPW

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at MPW, providing essential industrial and environmental cleaning services across various customer work sites. As an Industrial/Environmental Cleaning Technician, you will be responsible for operating a range of specialized tools and equipment to ensure facilities are cleaned to the highest standards. Your work is critical in maintaining safe and operational environments for our clients, demanding strict adherence to health and safety protocols and a commitment to quality service delivery.

The TL;DR

• Mission: Operate tools and equipment to provide industrial and environmental cleaning services at customer work sites.
• Tech Stack: Water blast gun, water lance, dry vacuum hose (6” and 8”), wet vacuum hose (6” and 8”), shovels, picks, automated tooling, aerial platform lifts

What You’ll Actually Do
• Ensure Safety: Strictly adhere to MPW Health and Safety Policies and Procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Prepare for Work: Arrive at the branch or jobsite punctually, in uniform, properly groomed, mentally alert, and physically able to work according to the branch process.
• Set Up Jobsite: Efficiently set up the jobsite, including water blast hose, vacuum hose, barricade tape, and safety tags.
• Operate Equipment: Skillfully use various industrial and environmental cleaning equipment such as water blast guns, vacuum hoses, shovels, picks, automated tooling, and aerial platform lifts.
• Maintain Equipment: Clean all used equipment thoroughly prior to its return to the MPW branch location.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Valid identification to ensure access into various customer sites; experience performing manual labor in an outside setting.
• Experience: 2-3 years of “hands on” experience with tools or heavy equipment.
• Skills: Proficient operation of industrial cleaning tools (e.g., water blast guns, vacuum hoses, automated tooling); effective jobsite setup and preparation, including safety measures; capability to perform sustained manual labor in outdoor settings; strict adherence to health and safety policies and procedures.
• Bonus: Specific exposure to an equipment or maintenance environment.
