About the Internship:
Enerfab is committed to supporting veterans, transitioning service members, and military spouses, valuing their experience, mindset, and leadership. This internship, also available through the DOD SkillBridge program, is designed to provide comprehensive, real-world exposure to industrial construction projects.
As an intern, you will work shoulder-to-shoulder with project teams, assisting in the planning and execution phases of projects. This experience will allow you to build skills directly applicable to career paths in:
- Project Management
- Estimating
- Engineering
- Field Leadership
While military engineers are strongly encouraged to apply, all backgrounds are welcome. Military spouses seeking to re-enter the workforce or explore new career paths are also highly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drawing & Plan Review: Utilize tools such as Bluebeam and CAD to accurately interpret 2D and 3D project plans.
- Project Execution Support: Assist in the development of project-specific documentation essential for supporting construction progress.
- Estimating: Collaborate with experienced estimators to prepare cost estimates and bid proposals.
- Project Closeout: Provide support for change order documentation, ensure compliance checks are completed, and participate in lessons-learned sessions.
- Documentation & Submittals: Prepare various technical materials, Request for Information (RFI) packages, and conduct specification reviews.
- Safety & Quality Involvement: Actively participate in safety reviews, contribute to root cause investigations, and support process improvement initiatives.
