2027 Human Resources Development Program – Early Careers | Wells Fargo

The Tone:
This is a two-year rotational early-career program at Wells Fargo, located in Charlotte, NC. Wells Fargo seeks to cultivate early-career talent with a strong interest in establishing a lasting career within Human Resources. The Human Resources Development Program is designed to accelerate professional growth through practical assignments, dedicated training, and exposure across various HR functions. This role is crucial in developing future HR leaders who will be responsible for building and implementing strategic programs and infrastructure to identify, develop, and retain top talent throughout the company and its lines of business.

The TL;DR

• Location: In-person Charlotte, NC
• Pay: $34.62 hourly
• Team: Centralized Human Resources function supporting the company, lines of business, and enterprise functions.
• Mission: Identify, develop, and retain top talent for Wells Fargo by building business acumen, technical HR expertise, and leadership capability through a structured, rotational development program.
• Tech Stack: AI-powered productivity tools, chat-based assistants, Microsoft Copilot

What You’ll Actually Do
• Research & Analysis: Conduct research, analyze data, and present insights and recommendations to peers, managers, and senior leadership.
• Partnership & Strategy: Partner with line-of-business and HR stakeholders on strategy, planning, and project management.
• Improvement Initiatives: Contribute to human capital initiatives across the enterprise to enhance processes, identify best practices, and drive continuous improvement.
• Networking & Development: Build a strong professional network through mentorship, sponsorship, and engagement with senior leadership.
• Learning & Expertise: Participate in formal training and experiential learning to deepen HR expertise, technical capability, and business knowledge.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-level bachelor’s degree candidate with an expected graduation between December 2026 and June 2027. All majors are welcome, with a preference for degrees in Human Resources Management, Business, Finance, Organizational Psychology, or Analytics.
• Experience: A minimum of 6 months of work experience, or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military experience, or education. This program offers a structured rotational experience focused on building business acumen, technical HR expertise, and leadership capability.
• Skills:
• Strong critical thinking and data analysis skills, with the ability to generate insights, learn quickly, adapt to change, and support innovative HR solutions.
• Ability to execute with urgency and apply strong attention to detail, supporting reporting, project management, and solution delivery, and driving operational excellence with an enterprise mindset.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, including building stakeholder relationships, fostering an inclusive environment, and actively seeking and applying feedback.
• Strong business acumen and service orientation, understanding HR needs and supporting solutions that deliver positive employee and business impact.
• Ability to act with integrity, apply HR policies and compliance requirements, and support effective risk controls to maintain well-managed and compliant HR operations.
• Bonus: Familiarity with AI-powered productivity tools, such as chat-based assistants and built-in features like Microsoft Copilot, to assist with everyday tasks including research, organizing information, and creating presentations, coupled with a strong interest in learning and using these tools responsibly.
