Job Description: Empirical Internship Program (Human Resources)

This is a temporary summer internship position lasting approximately 10-12 weeks within the Human Resources Department. Interns are expected to bring an energetic, inventive, hardworking, and creative approach to engaging audiences inside the organization.

Internship Experience:
Each intern will be assigned specific project(s), providing a unique opportunity to actively contribute to the manufacturing organization and build a comprehensive understanding of their desired field. Throughout the internship, you will collaborate with internal teams on assigned projects and have opportunities to meet with upper management to reflect on your personal and professional development. Based on performance, all interns will be considered for full-time positions upon completion of their internship, if applicable.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
• Develop and manage content for the company’s intranet, employee app, and other digital communication channels.
• Create engaging and high-quality content, including articles, videos, infographics, and other multimedia materials.
• Assist in developing and executing communication plans and content strategies to effectively reach employees.
• Gain an understanding of the company’s people practices and the various technologies utilized.
• Support various projects, offering fresh perspectives and ideas to enhance the overall employee experience.
• Collaborate effectively with various teams across different operating areas and disciplines to achieve goals and meet internal customer needs.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Abilities:
• General computer knowledge and proficiency.
• Above-average working knowledge of Adobe Suite, Canva, and Microsoft Office (including Word and Excel).

Demonstrated Competencies:
• Possess strong oral and written communication skills.
• Comfortable engaging with people across all levels of the organization.
• A team player with the ability to work independently on assigned tasks.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both verbal and written formats.
• Must demonstrate regular and punctual attendance.

Physical Requirements:
• This position primarily operates in an office setting.
• Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Experience:
• Experience in a communications-related position is preferred, but not required.

Education:
• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.
