The Tone:
This is an entry-level role at Magnify, designed for individuals looking to establish or advance their careers in Human Resources. The company is seeking an organized and customer-focused professional who is eager to gain practical experience across various HR functions, including employee benefits, leave administration, HR systems, and general employee services. This position plays a vital part in providing direct support to employees and collaborating effectively with insurance providers and internal teams, helping to build a solid foundation in HR operations and offering clear pathways for professional development within the organization.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Employee Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for all benefits-related inquiries from employees and external insurance vendors, providing timely assistance via phone and email communications.
• Benefit Administration: Efficiently process employee benefit changes, accurately responding to qualifying life events such as marriage, birth, and other Section 125 changes.
• Leave Management: Administer Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) requests by thoroughly reviewing submitted documentation and approving or denying requests in strict accordance with company policy and federal regulations.
• Data Management: Accurately enter and meticulously maintain employee information within the Human Resources Information System (HRIS), specifically Oracle, ensuring complete data accuracy and strict confidentiality.
• Program Coordination: Coordinate the comprehensive employee service award program, actively partnering with external vendors to manage award selections and guarantee accurate billing and delivery.

The Must-Haves
• Background: This is an entry-level position that requires a high school diploma or GED; candidates with coursework or a demonstrated interest in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a closely related field will be given preference.
• Experience: No specific prior professional experience is mandated, however, previous experience in an office environment, customer service, administrative support, benefits administration, or claims processing roles would be highly beneficial to the role.
• Skills: Possess strong computer proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Word and Excel; demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills with a genuine passion for assisting others; exhibit strong organizational capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously; apply a problem-solving mindset and maintain the utmost professionalism when handling confidential information.
• Bonus: Prior coursework or a strong interest in Human Resources or Business Administration is a plus; relevant experience in an office, customer service, administrative, benefits, or claims processing setting is helpful but not required; familiarity or prior experience with HRIS systems such as Oracle is considered advantageous.
