GRO Program – HR | John Hancock
The Tone:
This is a two-year early talent program at John Hancock, located in Boston, MA, with a hybrid working arrangement. • Mission: To develop future-ready HR leaders by providing a broad HR foundation and global perspective through rotational experiences across high-impact HR functional areas.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Rotate: Complete two 12-month rotations across core HR functions, gaining exposure to strategic and operational aspects.
• Collaborate: Work with cross-functional and global teams to support initiatives that align with business goals and enhance employee experience.
• Contribute: Participate in projects covering workforce planning, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) strategy, talent development, compensation, and HR analytics.
• Analyze: Examine data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement and propose actionable solutions.
• Participate: Engage in coaching, training, and mentorship to support personal growth and development throughout the program.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing an undergraduate or master’s degree in human resources or a related field, or completion of an undergraduate degree and currently pursuing a post-graduate HR certificate, with an expected graduation in Spring 2027. Entry-level career.
• Experience: No specific years of experience are listed; this program is designed for individuals currently pursuing or recently graduated with relevant degrees or certifications.
• Skills: Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities with sound judgment, excellent communication and relationship-building skills, a drive to make meaningful change, ability to influence through data and clear reasoning, natural curiosity to learn and apply new skills, and strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
