About the Job: HR Summer Internship at Milton CAT
Are you pursuing studies and a career in HR and looking to gain real-world experience? Milton CAT Corporate Office is offering a full-time summer internship in our dynamic HR department. The selected intern will be exposed to a variety of HR concepts, systems, tasks, and projects as they learn about and contribute to daily operations, ongoing initiatives, and projects.
Pay Range: $18.00-$22.00 per hour based on experience
What You Will Learn and Do:
Throughout the summer, you would learn and work with several mentors in HR Operations and Administration, supporting essential HR functions, systems, and programs within:
- Payroll
- Benefits
- HCM/HRIS (Human Capital Management/Human Resources Information Systems)
- Wellness
- Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S)
- Compliance
The summer will also include shorter job shadow rotations through other areas of HR, including:
- Talent Acquisition
- Learning & Development
- Employee Relations/HR Business Partnership
- Labor Relations

Additionally, the intern will assist with internal HR communications, including handling scheduled notifications and creating content to publish through our employee-facing HR apps and websites.

Qualifications
To qualify for internship consideration, Milton CAT is seeking the following:
- Must be enrolled in, or currently attending, a college/university; pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business, Management/Operations, or a related field.
- GPA/grade equivalent of 3.0+.
- Strong organization, focus, and attention to detail is required.
- Ability to quickly learn new technology; Intermediate or advanced knowledge of Excel.
- Must be able to respect and uphold the security and confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Eagerness to learn, strong work ethic, and reliability.
- Able to be onsite in Milford, MA, for work and training 80% of the time.
- Can be trusted to work remotely and independently approximately 20% (TBD with manager).
- Available to work full-time, M-F, for 8-10 weeks over summer break. To maximize learning in the available weeks, time off should be limited, and ideally planned in advance with your manager.
