Job Title: HR Intern

Job Summary:
Agora Data is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated HR Intern to support high-priority Human Resources projects. This internship provides hands-on experience in HR compliance, documentation, and employee engagement, directly contributing to improvements in HR operations and company culture. The intern will work closely with a Senior HR Generalist on project-based work designed to have a measurable and lasting impact on the organization.

Key Responsibilities (What You’ll Do):

1. Personnel File Digitization:
• Scan, organize, and securely upload physical paper personnel files into the HRIS (Human Resources Information System).
• Apply correct file naming conventions to ensure consistency and easy retrieval.
• Maintain a tracking log to monitor progress and identify outstanding items.
• Identify and flag incomplete files or missing documents for subsequent follow-up.
• Ensure all digitized files meet Personal Identifiable Information (PPI) and compliance requirements.

2. Policies & Procedures – Handbook Update:
• Assist in reviewing and updating specific sections of the employee handbook to align with current company policies and procedures.
• Format content according to approved HR templates to ensure consistency in presentation.
• Organize and store the finalized handbook documents in the designated HR policy library.
• Support version control processes by appropriately archiving older versions of documents.

3. Employee Engagement – Primary Focus:
• Assist in the planning and execution of employee engagement initiatives that align with Agora Data’s culture and values. Examples include recognition programs, pulse surveys, and team-building activities.
• Draft internal communications to effectively promote engagement programs to employees.
• Track participation in engagement activities, collect feedback from employees, and summarize results for HR leadership.
• Suggest improvements or new ideas based on survey data or participation rates.

4. Event Support – Supplemental Focus:
• Help coordinate smaller company events, which may involve ordering supplies, communicating with vendors, and tracking RSVPs.
• Prepare necessary materials and assist with day-of event setup and logistics.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Support HR compliance audits, including those related to I-9 forms, benefits administration, and personnel records.
• Assist with general HR administrative tasks as assigned.
• Maintain the utmost confidentiality of all employee and company information.

Candidate Requirements (Are you A Fit? / What You Need):

• Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Possess strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• A genuine interest in building a career in Human Resources.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit for long periods of time.
• Ability to stare at a computer screen for extended periods of time.
