Intern – Human Resources | Amcor

The Tone:
This is an in-person internship at Amcor, a global leader transforming the packaging industry with innovative and responsible solutions. This role is crucial for gaining practical experience by supporting daily HR operations and contributing to core HR functions, directly impacting the employee experience and the efficiency of business support. The intern will play an active part in delivering HR services and contributing to key programs within a world-class team.

• Team: HR Generalist team, partnering with HR team members and Shared Services
• Mission: Support day-to-day HR operations and contribute to core HR functions and programs to benefit employees and business needs.
• Tech Stack: HRIS systems, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint

What You’ll Actually Do
• Administer HR Operations: Support the tactical management of daily HR operations, including the administration of HR policies, procedures, and programs.
• Resolve Employee Inquiries: Partner with HR team members and Shared Services to address employee questions and resolve basic HR-related issues.
• Manage HR Data: Assist with HR transactions in HRIS systems, reporting, and maintaining accurate employee data.
• Support Talent Processes: Provide support for talent acquisition activities, including sourcing, interview coordination, onboarding, and performance management.
• Facilitate Engagement & Development: Help facilitate employee engagement initiatives, support employee development programs, and coordinate training activities.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Junior or Senior academic standing by June, pursuing a degree in Human Resources or a related field.
• Experience: Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint; demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally.
• Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills; strong organizational and multi-tasking skills; strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy; vigorous problem solving and investigative abilities.
• Bonus: Interest in building a career in Human Resources, particularly in a generalist capacity; a continuous improvement mindset with an interest in optimizing processes.
