The Accounting Clerk plays a crucial part in supporting the financial health of the hotel, ensuring accurate financial data, records, and reporting that underpin efficient operations and informed decision-making. This role contributes directly to the smooth functioning of the Accounting Department, enabling the hotel to uphold its standards of excellence.

• Mission: Processes, validates, and analyzes financial data to maintain accurate records and support the timely completion of all accounting and reporting activities.
• Tech Stack: Property Management Systems (PMS), Point-of-Sale (POS), Excel
What You’ll Actually Do
• Income Audit: Assist with daily income audit activities, including verifying and reconciling hotel revenues to ensure accuracy.
• Account Management: Support Accounts Receivable functions, including invoicing, collections, and account reconciliation, and aid Accounts Payable processes such as invoice verification, coding, and payment processing.
• Record Keeping & General Ledger: Maintain accurate financial records and accounting documentation, prepare journal entries, support General Ledger activities, and assist with bank and balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Financial Reporting Support: Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports by compiling and processing financial and operational data from various hotel departments.
• Compliance & Inquiries: Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and accounting standards, while responding to inquiries from guests, vendors, and internal departments regarding accounting matters.
The Must-Haves
• Background: An entry-level understanding of accounting operations, specifically encompassing all aspects of revenue accounting.
• Experience: One to two years of experience in hotel accounting is required.
• Skills: Demonstrated strong attention to detail and accuracy, ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment with excellent communication skills, and strong computer and data safety management skills, including the ability to operate a 10-key calculator by touch.
• Bonus: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is a plus, and previous luxury hotel experience is also considered a valuable asset.
