• Mission: To ensure adherence to Valeo Group’s comprehensive health, safety, security, and environmental standards while actively supporting site HR functions related to compliance, employee engagement, and workforce management.

What You’ll Actually Do
• HSS&E Program Management: Ensure all Valeo Group requirements regarding health, safety, security, and environment are thoroughly identified, established, and fully implemented across the site, including verifying the compliance of all safety and security equipment.
• Risk Assessment & Procedure Development: Conduct detailed risk analyses, continuously monitor regulatory surveys, and actively contribute to establishing site-specific Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) operational procedures, overseeing their effective application.
• Auditing, Recommendations & Resolution: Perform regular inspections and internal audits, formulate precise recommendations, specify corresponding corrective actions, and assist in monitoring the implementation of these actions to address any non-compliance identified by internal or external audits.
• Safety Documentation & Legislative Awareness: Update and complete essential Safety Data Sheets (SDS), perform ergonomic and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) assessments, review and update Safety and Environmental work instructions, and stay informed about developments in relevant legislation.
• HR Compliance & Employee Support: Support Site HR by ensuring full compliance with all V5000 requirements, including meticulous documentation, reporting, and process adherence. This also involves coordinating employee engagement initiatives, managing staffing updates for workforce planning, monitoring attendance via ADP, and addressing employee concerns while escalating complex issues.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Current student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree OR a recent graduate.
• Experience: Demonstrated ability to work 30+ hours per week for a one-year duration.
• Skills: Completion of academic coursework or classes covering critical topics such as equipment lockout/tagout procedures, chemical safety protocols, and OSHA/EPA regulations.
