Job Description
Are you an HBO IT student with a passion for real-time embedded software? Do you want to work with real machines and be challenged? Then we have an exciting assignment for you!
At Canon Production Printing, we collaborate with international manufacturers to deliver complete solutions for high-value customers. In this assignment, you will work directly with actual printers, and your results will be used for years to come by CPP’s R&D department. You’ll be involved in all stages of software engineering, from gathering requirements to testing, including development on real machines. You’ll develop within our state-of-the-art, model-driven toolset for Linux-based platforms.
The Challenge
Our printer configurations allow us to control machines from other manufacturers. These machines can perform functions like punching or creasing paper sheets. However, they are expensive and not readily available within our R&D department. To address this, you will develop a hardware simulator based on one of our existing modules. You will design and develop the simulator software for an existing CPP stacking module.
The Team
You will be working within the finishing team, comprised of 4 embedded software engineers and a product owner. This team offers a diverse range of experience and age, providing ample opportunities for learning from each other.
What We’re Looking For
• Currently studying HBO IT or HBO (Applied) Computer Sciences.
• Passionate about designing new applications that connect internal and external interfaces.
• Affinity with embedded software and Linux.
• Knowledge of GIT.
• Available for 4 to 8 months, working a minimum of 4 days per week.
What’s In It For You?
• A challenging assignment with skilled coaching.
• Internship/Graduation compensation of €500,- per month.
• Travel cost compensation if you don’t have an ‘OV-weekcard’.
• The opportunity to network with professionals inside and outside your field of expertise, thanks to our diverse workforce.
• Our company values collaboration, innovation, and ownership, empowering you to contribute your best and take ownership of your work.
