About the Role

This is a 12-week software engineering internship where you will work with an innovative team dedicated to learning new technologies, improving and extending existing designs and frameworks, developing new analytics, and writing test cases for high-quality hardware platforms. You will drive innovative solutions to accelerate validation of Nutanix, OEM, and strategic partners’ platforms, building on your studies through hands-on, impactful technical projects with training and mentoring.

What You’ll Do
• Develop high-quality framework that uses advanced Data Science and Machine Learning techniques
• Analyze requirements, design, code and develop tests and problem-solving software to characterize hardware components
• Work with hardware, software, and quality assurance teams to drive system validation and performance requirements.
• Drive software and hardware bug triages and debugging, and work with other internal dev teams to deliver fixes.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to align project goals and timelines.
• Contribute to team knowledge sharing through documentation and training support.

You’re a Good Fit If You
• Are pursuing a Bachelor’s in Computer Science or a related field
• Are authorized to work in the US without requiring current or future sponsorship for an employment visa status, such as F1, H1B, or TN
• Possess proficiency in Python programming
• Have experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration
• Have knowledge of machine learning concepts and frameworks
• Possess strong collaboration and communication skills
• Are able to work in a hybrid work environment
• Have a team-oriented mindset with a focus on cross-collaboration

Role Highlights & Compensation
• This is a 12-week internship with start dates beginning in May through August 2026, depending on your availability.
• Nutanix offers both remote and hybrid internships, with hybrid roles requiring work from the San Jose, CA, office 3+ days/week.
• The role requires no travel.
• The expected pay range is between USD $ 36 and USD $ 60 per hour.
• Total compensation may include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, discretionary awards, and a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits).
