Your Role And Responsibilities

As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in the successful deployment and ongoing management of HashiCorp solutions for our clients. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborate with the Resident Solutions Architect (RSA) on the detailed design and execution plans for the implementation and associated integrations of HashiCorp tool(s) defined within the scope of each client engagement, ensuring technical alignment and strategic coherence.
  • Execute on the technical customer solution plan meticulously designed by the Resident Solutions Architect (RSA) assigned to the customer account, translating architectural vision into practical, working solutions.
  • Take ownership of the design, implementation, and ongoing management of HashiCorp enterprise solutions, ensuring they meet client requirements for scalability, security, and performance.
  • Assist in the design and configuration of third-party integrations with HashiCorp enterprise solutions, extending their functionality and ensuring seamless interoperability within complex customer environments.
  • Lead the creation of comprehensive support documentation, automation scripts, runbooks, and similar collateral specifically associated with HashiCorp enterprise solutions, fostering operational efficiency and knowledge transfer.
  • Assist in the application or execution of software patches and upgrades to HashiCorp enterprise solutions, primarily focusing on non-production environments to ensure stability and compatibility before wider deployment.
  • Consult with various customer application, platform, and operations teams, providing expert guidance on how to effectively integrate their existing tools, applications, and services with HashiCorp tools to maximize utility and efficiency.
  • Execute specific tasks throughout the customer cloud transformation journey as it directly relates to the HashiCorp product suite, helping clients leverage these tools to achieve their cloud adoption goals.
  • Build robust automation for the deployment, management, and operation of one or more HashiCorp solutions, reducing manual effort and increasing reliability.
  • Directly impact developer velocity by implementing streamlined workflows and providing self-service capabilities while simultaneously satisfying critical objectives of governance, risk, and controls.
  • Be cognizant of, and effectively communicate, the business value of the HashiCorp product suite to customers, ensuring stakeholders understand the return on investment and strategic benefits.
  • Articulate the technical functionality of HashiCorp products and additional 3rd party integrations with clarity, tailoring explanations for practitioners, product owners, and managers alike.
  • Educate individual contributors within customer teams on best practices regarding system administration, service administration, automation, and observability, empowering them with essential skills.
  • Be subject to additional background checks and screening performed by the customer, reflecting the trusted and critical nature of this role.

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

To succeed in this role, you should possess a foundational understanding and practical experience in the following areas:

  • Proven experience operating both Linux and Windows systems, demonstrating proficiency in command-line interfaces and system administration tasks.
  • A basic understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery) methodologies, and the principles of version control solutions (e.g., Git).
  • Basic understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and practices, recognizing its importance in modern infrastructure management.
  • Exposure to and general understanding of at least one major public cloud service provider (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their most common services (e.g., compute, storage, networking).
  • The proven ability to work well in group environments, fostering collaboration and contributing effectively to team goals.
  • The proven ability to work independently, executing on a provided roadmap with minimal supervision and taking initiative.
  • The crucial ability to explain complex technical topics in simple, understandable terms to a variety of audiences, bridging the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with common security and compliance requirements relevant to enterprise IT environments.

Preferred Technical And Professional Experience

Candidates who demonstrate the following experience will be highly valued:

  • Additional Platform Knowledge: Exposure to a variety of other enterprise platforms and products, with the ability to articulate their value proposition/ROI and understand the competitive landscape beyond just HashiCorp.
  • Advanced Solution Design: Experience with designing complex client solutions that strategically leverage current product capabilities, and the ability to provide constructive input to product teams for solution refinement and future development.
  • Enhanced Technical Accelerators: Proven exposure to multiple technical accelerators used in the sales cycle, such as developing compelling demonstrations, conducting Proof-of-Technologies (POTs), executing Proof-of-Concepts (POCs), leading workshops, contributing to solution design, crafting proposals, and building Minimum Viable Products (MVPs), all aimed at driving sales and client engagement.
