The Tone:
Aviation & Missile Solutions, LLC. (AMS) is seeking a talented Electrical or Computer Engineer to join our diverse team in Huntsville, AL. This is a full-time, in-person role where you will create unique solutions for complex problems across various defense technologies. AMS provides responsive, cost-effective engineering and scientific solutions, specifically ranging from air and missile defense technologies, command and control, radar systems, seekers, modeling & simulation, and prototype hardware development and testing. This role is crucial for advancing our capabilities by developing sophisticated radar models, simulations, and algorithms that directly impact critical defense systems.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Develop: Develop advanced radar models and comprehensive simulation environments to match threat radar intelligence assessments, encompassing waveform scheduling, correlation/tracking, and signal processing.
• Document: Produce high-quality technical briefings, detailed design documentation, and thorough test plans to support all software development efforts.
• Analyze: Perform in-depth radar and weapons systems analysis, evaluating probability of detection, waveform characteristics, probability of interception, and overall area of responsibility.
• Engineer: Design and implement complex algorithms, including those for detection processes, waveform selection, signal processing, clutter and EA mitigation, and adaptive beamforming.
• Integrate: Engage in the development, integration, and testing of RF hardware components such as transmitters, multi-channel receivers, SOTA processors, and associated software, including RF lab equipment.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering from an ABET-accredited university. This role is suited for early career professionals demonstrating exceptional academic achievement.
• Experience: Strong software development skills, particularly in object-oriented programming principles, are essential. A graduating GPA of 3.5+ is required.
• Skills: Proficiency in C++ is mandatory. Candidates must also possess the ability to comfortably interact with and present technical information to customers, coworkers, and management on a regular basis. Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Final TOP SECRET Clearance, along with US citizenship, is a fundamental requirement.
• Bonus: Preferred qualifications include experience with Git and working knowledge of Agile development processes. Ideal candidates will be residents of the Huntsville, AL area or willing to relocate, and demonstrate good people skills with a desire to collaborate effectively within a highly technical team of engineers and scientists.
