Your work will directly support faculty success and meaningful improvements across the Division of Nephrology.

• Team: Reports to the Division Administrator within the Division of Nephrology.
• Mission: Manages complex grant and contract activities to ensure sound financial stewardship and advance innovative kidney research and faculty success.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Collaborative Partnership: Serve as the primary liaison between faculty, internal grants and finance teams, external funding agencies, and various internal administrative offices.
• Grants and Contracts Management: Provide comprehensive oversight of grants and contracts, including pre-award budget development, post-award monitoring, subcontract management, and closeout procedures.
• Financial Analysis & Reporting: Analyze financial data, generate projections and variance reports for Principal Investigators, and propose solutions to identify funding issues.
• Operational Leadership: Lead process improvements, monitor compliance, and provide high-level guidance to faculty and grants staff to support sound decision-making and research strategy.
• Payroll & Effort Coordination: Manage salary source allocation transactions, internal personnel effort trackers, and complete annual time and effort reports.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
• Experience: 5 years of progressive experience in grants and contracts management.
• Skills: Strong analytical skills, good communication skills, attention to detail, knowledge of accounting principles and practices, and intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
• Bonus: Master’s degree (MPA, MPH, or MHA preferred), experience in finance.
