This is a year-round, hybrid internship at Sandia National Laboratories, located in Albuquerque, NM. This role is crucial for supporting various business operations, providing valuable internships, and building a talent pipeline for future employment, directly contributing to Sandia’s mission. The intern will add value, improve operations, offer innovative solutions, and manage corporate risk.

• Mission: Support various business operations at the Lab by providing financial, project, and supply chain assistance, while also identifying and recommending solutions for technical partners’ business needs.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Management: Prepare financial plans, reports, and analyses, monitoring policies, maintaining records, and determining rationales for budget variances.
• Business Solutions: Collaborate with technical partners to identify, recommend, and implement solutions for their business needs.
• Supply Chain: Manage specific business needs within the supply chain operations.
• Project Support: Provide assistance in managing project schedules or budgets for various initiatives.
• Customer Relations: Prepare and facilitate management and customer reviews, acting as a central point of contact for funds management and contract processes.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Earned bachelor’s degree and currently enrolled full-time in a related accredited graduate program, such as business administration.
• Experience: Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 and the ability to work up to 30 hours per week during the academic year and up to 40 hours per week during the summer.
• Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in business areas such as Budgeting, Accounting, Project Management, Audit, or Supply Chain.
• Bonus: Prior customer service experience and demonstrated leadership outside of academics, including student organizations and community service, are highly valued.
