The Tone:
This is an independent contract role, remote, focused on the development and refinement of cutting-edge AI models. You will be instrumental in advancing the capabilities of AI chatbots by meticulously training, evaluating, and improving their mathematical reasoning. This role is pivotal in measuring the AI’s progress, critically assessing its logical coherence, and actively contributing to problem-solving initiatives. Your contributions will significantly enhance the overall quality and performance of each model.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Design and Administer: Design and deliver a diverse range of challenging mathematics problems to AI chatbots, pushing the boundaries of their current capabilities.
• Thorough Output Evaluation: Meticulously evaluate AI model outputs, scrutinizing solutions for accuracy, logical coherence, step-by-step correctness, and overall performance.
• Quality Assurance: Systematically assess the quality of AI models’ mathematical reasoning and their overall performance across various problem types and complexities.
• Problem Identification: Identify areas of weakness in AI models’ mathematical understanding and contribute to strategies for their improvement.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Graduate-level study (Master’s or PhD, current, in progress, or completed) in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or a closely related field is highly preferred.
• Experience: Demonstrated expert level of mathematical reasoning.
• Skills: Exceptional proficiency across a broad spectrum of mathematical disciplines (including arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, probability, statistics, inductive and deductive reasoning), Native or bilingual English fluency, Strong attention to detail.
• Bonus: Candidates with exceptional skills and relevant experience may be considered without the preferred degree; current residency in the United States.
