This role directly supports St. Vincent’s Behavioral Health Center, a 76-bed inpatient psychiatric facility specializing in comprehensive care for children, adolescents, and adults with mental health and dual diagnosis substance use disorders.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Provide: Provides holistic, quality, and cost-effective nursing care to patients and their families.
• Manage: Manages patient care within a specific unit, service, or primary practice area, maintaining awareness of the overall episode of care.
• Apply: Applies the nursing process consistently within the context of the organization’s Framework for Professional Practice.
• Collaborate: Collaborates by practicing nursing under the direct supervision of a licensed Registered Nurse.
• Evaluate: Develops, delivers, and evaluates patient care to ensure effective treatment outcomes.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Early Career level, holding a minimum of an Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program.
• Experience: Required to complete an application to sit for the CT RN license and obtain licensing within 90 calendar days of the graduation date. If hired with an Associate degree, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) must be obtained within 6 years of the hire date.
• Skills: Demonstrates the ability to develop, deliver, and evaluate patient care effectively. Possesses strong communication skills, both verbal and written, essential for working as part of a collaborative team.
• Bonus: A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is preferred.
