Graduate Engineer, Land Development | LJA

The TL;DR

• Mission: Provide design, production, and project administrative support for various land development projects for public and private clients.
• Tech Stack: AutoCAD Civil3D, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office

What You’ll Actually Do
• Collaborate: Perform design calculations, prepare equipment or material specifications, and generate technical drawings and exhibits with experts and peers.
• Develop: Expand engineering knowledge and vocabulary to include advanced techniques, applied theory, industry concepts, and best practices.
• Investigate: Research existing site conditions, jurisdictional criteria, and constraints to guide design iterations.
• Support: Provide information or exhibits to assist client and internal leaders in decision-making for project execution.
• Produce: Deliver feasibilities, cost opinions, studies, construction plans, and bid packages using design and production software.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Early career professional with a Bachelor of Science Degree from an ABET accredited university, with Civil Engineering preferred.
• Experience: Previous work experience in the engineering industry and familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Skills: Strong communication skills and a team mentality.
• Bonus: Passed the FE Exam, and experience with Bluebeam and Water Resources Software (HEC-RAS & HEC-HMS).
