About The Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to support two key initiatives within Biogen’s planning and operations function:

Process Automation & Efficiency (PEI Project): Contribute to a strategic project focused on identifying and creating “white space” opportunities through automation. This involves analyzing current workflows, identifying inefficiencies, and supporting the development of automated solutions to streamline planning processes.
Hands-On Planning Experience: Gain exposure to the end-to-end planning process by assisting with the planning of a subset of products within the U.S. portfolio. You will participate in 2-3 planning cycles under the guidance of experienced planners, learning to manage data inputs, forecast demand, and support supply planning decisions.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)

As a Global Supply Chain intern, you will be considered for one of the following projects, with responsibilities including:

• Assist in mapping and analyzing current planning workflows to identify automation opportunities.
• Support the design and testing of automated tools or templates to improve efficiency.
• Participate in planning meetings and contribute to cycle activities such as data validation, forecast updates, and reporting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather inputs and ensure alignment on planning assumptions.
• Document learnings and propose recommendations for process improvements.

Example Projects May Include:

• Projects related to the Planning Ecosystem Initiative.
• Projects related to Advanced Planning System Implementation.

Who You Are (Qualifications & Skills)

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for supply chain and an interest in innovative, data-driven approaches to problem-solving.

• Data Analytics

• Data Visualization
• Business Administration
• Statistics
• Logistics
• Project Management / Trade Compliance

• Self-motivated and results-oriented.
• Quick learner with the ability and willingness to learn/understand new concepts and processes, technology, etc., as needs arise.
• Passion and aptitude for supply chain with a desire to innovate.
• Ability to thrive in a rapidly changing environment.
• Interpersonal competence and strong communication skills.

Eligibility Criteria for Biogen Internship/Co-op Program:

• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
• At least 18 years of age prior to the scheduled start date.
• Currently enrolled in an accredited community college, college, university, or skills program/apprenticeship.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics, or a related field.
Class of 2027 graduate preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

Base Compensation Range: $23.00 – $27.00 per hour.
