General Production Worker – Masker (Powder Coating)

Location: Fountain Valley, CA

Pay: $18/hr

Shifts: 7:00am-3:30pm (Overtime available starting at 5:00am)

Job Summary

Join a fast-paced powder coating facility as a Masker / General Production Worker, where you will be responsible for preparing metal and plastic parts for painting, coating, and finishing. This role demands strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to meticulously follow work instructions and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply masking materials (tape, plugs, caps, paper) to parts precisely according to drawings and work instructions.
• Carefully remove masking materials after coating without causing damage to the parts.
• Inspect parts both before and after masking to ensure accuracy and adherence to quality standards.
• Strictly follow specifications, blueprints, and process sheets.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant workstation at all times.
• Handle parts with extreme care to prevent scratches, dents, or contamination.
• Consistently meet daily production and quality standards.
• Adhere to all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), safety, and environmental procedures.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in using basic hand tools.
• Prior experience in production, masking, or similar manufacturing processes.
• Ability to accurately read and follow blueprints and process sheets.

Additional Experience (Preferred But Not Required)

• Loading metal or plastic parts onto conveyor lines.
• Cleaning and prepping metal parts.
• Sanding metal or plastic using sandpaper.
• Assisting coaters with part preparation.
• Masking areas that do not require finishing.
• Assisting printing operators with part handling.
• Removing paint from parts using razor blades or sanding.
• Packaging parts in bags, boxes, or pallets.
• Spanish-speaking candidates strongly preferred.

Work Environment

This role is situated in a fast-paced manufacturing setting, operating on a day shift with frequent opportunities for overtime. It requires consistent use of PPE and strict adherence to safety protocols. Physical demands include standing, bending, lifting, and performing repetitive tasks throughout the shift.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fountain Valley, CA.

Pay And Benefits

The pay rate for this position is $18.00/hr.
