General Manager | Wonder
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Wonder, located in Brooklyn, NY. Wonder operates as a mealtime platform, offering hundreds of dishes from over 20 exclusive restaurants in a single order, with flexible delivery, dine-in, or pickup options. This General Manager role is critical as it serves as the business leader for a Wonder location, managing a complex shared kitchen operation, overseeing multi-brand collaboration, and owning the local P&L to make great food more accessible.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Operations Leadership: Oversee all daily operations for the shared kitchen, ensuring efficiency across kitchen, service, and fulfillment channels while adhering to all standards.
• Financial Management: Take full ownership of the location’s P&L, leveraging data to optimize labor efficiency, food costs, and overall operational margin.
• Team Development: Hire, onboard, coach, schedule, and develop a high-performing blended workforce comprised of internal employees and external partners.
• Strategic Growth: Drive company talent pipelines and mentor managers-in-training, anticipating future business needs to align staffing and development efforts.
• Partnership Management: Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for brand partners, vendors, and local stakeholders, ensuring adherence to Wonder’s service and food quality standards.
The Must-Haves
• Background: At least 3 years of experience leading high-volume, complex operations in sectors such as logistics, field-based retail, hospitality, food, or eCommerce. Requires a Food Manager Certificate as mandated by state, county, or local health departments.
• Experience: Demonstrated success in full P&L ownership, KPI management, and driving operational results. Proven leadership background with progressive growth and advancement in fast-growing, operationally complex environments.
• Skills: Proficient in proactive problem-solving, comfortable managing hybrid workforces (employees and contracted partners), capable of cross-functional influence and collaboration, and obsessed with customer service, quality, accountability, and results.
