General Manager | Allied Universal

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Allied Universal, located in Indianapolis, Indiana. Allied Universal is North America’s leading security and facility services company. This General Manager role is crucial for driving profitable business growth by providing world-class service to clients across various markets. The role involves overseeing employees and operational activities at branch security locations and client sites, fostering an exceptional employee experience, and positively impacting the communities and customers served.

• Tech Stack: Allied Universal’s Business Intelligence Platform, Microsoft Office, BI Business Intelligence tools.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Lead and Mentor: Guide an operations and support team by providing coaching, support, and recognition, while fostering accountability and professional development.
• Cultivate Client Relationships: Build, maintain, and grow relationships with clients by understanding their security needs, traveling to client locations, and ensuring satisfaction.
• Drive Operational Excellence: Strategically lead the branch’s operations to deliver high-quality service, maintain industry standards, and identify and mitigate security risks.
• Analyze and Optimize Performance: Analyze, report, and drive operational metrics and Key Performance Indicators using the Business Intelligence Platform to maximize efficiency and productivity.
• Manage Financial Performance: Oversee the P&L, manage budget allocation, drive revenue growth, and collaborate with sales teams to achieve financial targets.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, business, or a related field with five (5) years of management experience in a high-volume workforce environment or service industry; OR an Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice, Business or a related field with seven (7) years of management experience in a high-volume workforce environment or service industry; OR a High School diploma with ten (10) years of management experience in a high-volume workforce environment or service industry.
• Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of experience driving operational and financial metrics, demonstrating strong financial acumen, and a minimum of two (2) years of experience successfully building and developing teams. A current driver’s license is required for business-related travel.
• Skills: Leadership skills that foster teamwork, innovation, agility, and client relations; ability to collaborate across multiple business units and regions; results-oriented problem-solving skills; proficiency in web-based applications, Microsoft Office, and Business Intelligence tools; and dynamic networking skills.
• Bonus: Experience in law enforcement, military, and/or contract or proprietary security services, and experience managing a dispersed workforce in a multi-location operation.
