Indy Eleven is a professional soccer team based in Indianapolis, Indiana, playing in the United Soccer League (USL).
Game Activations Internship Description
This internship offers an inside look at various aspects of the team’s operations, including:
• Game presentation: Understanding the elements that contribute to a successful game experience.
• Game day operations: Getting involved in the behind-the-scenes logistics of a game.
• Events and themes: Contributing to the development and execution of themed game nights.
• Promotions activations: Learning how to engage fans and promote the team through activations.
The position focuses on in-game presentation and activations, requiring collaboration with multiple departments within the Indy Eleven front office.
Internship Responsibilities
The intern will be involved in a variety of tasks, including:
• Planning, preparation, and execution of Game Operations activities.
• Developing PA scripts for home games in collaboration with the Game Activations & Marketing Coordinator.
• Supporting the execution of game day activations and experiences, including managing vendors, coordinating on-field performances, etc.
• Assisting with creating emails and marketing materials for theme nights.
• Interacting with Indy Eleven staff, vendors, community partners, and fans.
• Setting up and tearing down the stadium for each match day.
• Supporting community events and events outside of match days.
• Assisting with pre-game and post-game events.
• Maintaining good attendance and punctuality.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
Internship Requirements
• Current college student, preferably pursuing a degree in sport management or a related field.
• Flexibility to work long and irregular hours, including holidays and weekends.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends, including ALL Indy Eleven home games.
• Experience in event operations and customer service.
• Proven self-starter, independent, energetic, and well-organized.
• Outgoing and able to effectively interact with various individuals and groups.
• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
