What You’ll Actually Do
• Operational Support: Provide essential day-to-day financial and compliance operational support for various fund clients, including mutual funds, exchange-traded funds, closed-end funds, and business development companies.
• Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for fund clients, coordinating activities and facilitating clear communications among fund operations teams and external service providers such as investment advisors, custodians, transfer agents, attorneys, and auditors.
• Financial Oversight: Help oversee and monitor fund budgets, meticulously reviewing expenses based on contractual agreements, fee proposals, and current activity trends to ensure sound financial management.
• Reporting & Review: Support the preparation and review of financial statements for client shareholders, ensuring all reports meet the rigorous standards of SEC, GAAP, and other regulatory requirements.
• Compliance Assurance: Work closely with complex regulatory and compliance requirements, testing and reviewing portfolio compliance against established SEC and GAAP standards to uphold the accuracy and integrity of all reporting.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Possess a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or an equivalent combination of relevant work experience and education.
• Experience: Bring one to two years of professional work experience directly related to financial operations, accounting, or the mutual fund industry.
• Skills: Demonstrate foundational knowledge and understanding of legal, regulatory, and accounting principles that directly impact the mutual fund industry and its clients, along with proficient computer navigation skills using Microsoft Office applications.
• Bonus: Possess effective verbal and written communication skills essential for clear client and internal stakeholder interaction, alongside the ability to manage multiple tasks and project deadlines simultaneously.
