Financial Analyst – Finance Development Program | The Lubrizol Corporation
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at The Lubrizol Corporation, located in Wickliffe, OH. Lubrizol is offering a Finance Development Program designed to provide recent graduates or early-career professionals with structured learning and development experience in the field of finance. This program offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop a strong foundational understanding of finance within the organization. Participants will work on challenging projects, receive mentorship from experienced professionals, and build a robust professional network throughout the three-year program.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Accounting Operations: Record journal entries as part of the monthly close process, including recurring journals and shared profit center reclasses, while also performing account reconciliations and analyses.
• Holding Company Management: Handle all activities pertaining to the domestic holding companies, including journal posting, trial balance review, and BPC upload.
• Financial Consolidation: Perform entity trial balance reasonability testing, upload entities, post consolidated journal entries, and prepare monthly and quarterly schedules for external reporting by Berkshire Hathaway.
• Management Reporting Support: Assist with cost center master data and matrix, manage GRIR freight reconciliations, and execute post-close system tie-outs.
• External Financial Reporting: Prepare, review, and tie-out monthly financial statements and quarterly Berkshire schedules, assist with lease accounting using Visual Lease, and support finance policy updates through technical research.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, suitable for recent graduates or those graduating in Dec 2026 or Spring 2027.
• Experience: At least 6 months of relevant accounting or finance experience, with internships included.
• Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), strong written and verbal communication, self-starter mentality, and a process improvement mindset.
• Bonus: Proficiency in SAP, BOBJ, SharePoint, or Power BI functions is a plus.
