Fund Accounting Internship | Standish Management, LLC

The Tone:
This is a temporary internship at Standish Management, LLC, for the summer of 2027. Standish Management provides fund administration services primarily to the private equity and venture capital industries. This role is crucial for gaining practical exposure to these sectors through direct involvement in fund administration and partnership accounting. Interns provide essential financial and administrative support to Associates and Fund Controllers, contributing to the firm’s client service operations.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Support: Prepare support schedules for client financial statements.
• Data Management: Accurately enter financial and client information into recordkeeping systems and maintain various filing systems.
• Team Collaboration: Provide essential support to audit and tax teams.
• Systems Initiatives: Assist with ongoing data entry and systems conversion projects for new and existing clients.
• Reporting Analysis: Analyze client reports and documents to identify and address discrepancies.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Knowledge of basic Accounting and Finance principles.
• Experience: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Skills: Attention to detail, Strong written and verbal communication, Ability to multi-task and adhere to strict deadlines, Strong organizational skills and work ethic.
• Bonus: Familiarity with QuickBooks.
