The Tone:
This is a full-time internship at WSP USA, located in Tempe, AZ. WSP USA offers this opportunity for individuals currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program to gain meaningful work experience. The internship is designed to enhance their education and professional aptitude through hands-on involvement in real projects. As an intern, you will work alongside senior staff, learn fundamental controls engineering principles, and support various engineering tasks to develop your technical, social, and ethical skills.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Support: Support a variety of engineering tasks, focusing on the development of technical, social, and ethical skills.
• Learn: Learn and apply basic principles of Controls Engineering.
• Assist: Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis.
• Prepare: Support the preparation of final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates for projects.
• Document: Assist in collecting and maintaining thorough project documentation.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Actively enrolled in an accredited Controls Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related Undergraduate program with an anticipated graduation date of August 2026 or later.
• Experience: Demonstrated interest in Controls Engineering or related fields with a strong desire to advance relevant skills; capable of taking direction from leadership and mentors; proven track record of upholding workplace safety.
• Skills: Competent interpersonal and communication skills for professional interaction; basic proficiency with technical writing, office automation software, spreadsheets, technology, and tools.
• Bonus: Prior internship experience; leadership involvement on campus.
