The TL;DR
• Mission: Solve the problem of efficiently and accurately preparing and delivering customer orders to ensure a seamless and positive shopping experience.
• Tech Stack: Orders App, SIMS (Store Inventory Management System)
What You’ll Actually Do
• Order Fulfillment: Accurately pick, stage, inspect, and fulfill customer orders on time while maintaining clean, organized, and safe staging areas.
• Customer Service: Provide outstanding service by carefully selecting high-quality items, validating order accuracy, answering customer questions, and connecting customers with specialized assistance.
• Equipment Operation: Safely operate and maintain current certification for powered equipment, including Counterbalance Forklift, Order Picker, and Narrow Aisle Reach Truck, adhering to all safety protocols.
• Inventory Support: Contribute to inventory accuracy by proficiently using the Orders App, ensuring compliance with SIMS procedures, and collaborating to resolve short picks or discrepancies.
• Administrative & Safety: Complete administrative duties, maintenance checks, and readiness tasks such as conducting audits, performing order follow-ups, managing locker systems, and proactively reporting safety concerns or potential theft.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Early Career professional demonstrating technical acumen for computer tasks and proficiency with common retail technology.
• Experience: Minimum 6 months of experience using a computer for tasks like inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information, and 6 months utilizing common retail technology, including smartphones and tablets.
• Skills: Must possess or be able to obtain mandatory certification for Counterbalance Forklift, Order Picker, and Narrow Aisle Reach Truck; capable of proficiently using the Orders App and complying with SIMS procedures for inventory management.
• Bonus: A high school diploma or GED; 6 months of experience in a retail environment; 6 months of experience in a customer service or product fulfillment position, especially within home improvement or hardware retail; or 6 months of experience in any industry involving the inspection, carrying, loading, and unloading of product or material in or out of vehicles.
