• Mission: Ensure Ryder’s vehicle fleet is fueled, maintained, and ready for service through comprehensive inspections, record-keeping, and general facility upkeep.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Vehicle Servicing: Fuel, wash, and detail vehicles according to company standards.
• Fleet Inspection: Perform multi-point inspections on inbound units, checking tire pressure and oil levels, and reporting any service issues to the shop.
• Inventory Management: Accurately record fuel activity and maintain proper fuel and Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) inventories and reconciliation.
• Vehicle Movement: Safely move heavy-duty vehicles as required for operational flow.
• Facility Maintenance: Perform minor maintenance tasks, such as tire repairs, and maintain the fuel island area to Six Sigma standards and policies.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Must be 18 years of age or older and capable of obtaining a Commercial Driver License (CDL) within 6 months of hire. This includes passing a Ryder Drug Test, DOT physical, Ryder road test, and a comprehensive background and motor vehicle check, alongside drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last three years.
• Experience: Demonstrated customer service skills, including the ability to understand verbal communication.
• Skills: Proficiency in English written and verbal communication; basic computer literacy for word processing, spreadsheets, email, and data entry; a high degree of thoroughness and dependability; ability to work flexible schedules (including shift work, weekends, and holidays) and at different locations; capability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Bonus: High school diploma or equivalent; two or more years of related work experience; a valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A.
