Front End Specialist (FeS) | Ollie’s

The TL;DR
• Role: Full Time
• Mission: Own the customer experience at the front of the store while contributing to overall store maintenance, merchandising, and adherence to company values.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Customer Engagement: Consistently greet and acknowledge every customer upon their entry, exit, and approach to the front end, ensuring a welcoming store atmosphere.
• Transaction Management: Accurately and efficiently operate the register for customer purchases and process refunds for other Associates up to a specified dollar amount.
• Team Development & Communication: Support the training of new Front End Specialists and effectively communicate customer needs and feedback to Team Leaders as required.
• Store Presentation & Merchandising: Maintain a neat, organized, and clean front end work area and contribute to the overall store’s cleanliness. This includes assisting with receiving deliveries, pricing items, merchandising product, and recovering the store.
• Promotional Knowledge & Support: Stay informed about all current promotions and advertisements to accurately answer customer questions, assist in product sales, and support company donation initiatives like Ollie’s Army throughout the year.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Foundational understanding of retail service industry terms and processes, coupled with the ability to preserve the confidentiality of information.
• Experience: Requires the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays on a regular basis. A minimum of 6 months of retail experience in a mid-size to large service-oriented business is preferred.
• Skills: Exceptional communication skills, including active listening and interpersonal effectiveness, accuracy and meticulous attention to detail, sound judgment, and the capacity to organize and prioritize diverse tasks to meet deadlines. Must maintain a positive attitude when interacting with both customers and Associates.
