Financial Analyst, Amazon Music | Amazon

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Amazon, located in Culver City, CA or Seattle, WA, within the Amazon Music division. What You’ll Actually Do
• Solution Development: Partner with stakeholders to develop automated solutions that streamline reporting and planning processes.
• Financial Modeling: Build and maintain financial reports and operational models to inform business decision-making and support customer forecasting.
• Data Analysis & Accuracy: Extract and analyze complex financial data, cross-checking against multiple sources to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Process Optimization: Implement process improvements and automation initiatives that reduce defects, enhance controllership, and scale team capabilities with measurable results.
• Strategic Insight: Dive deep into customer growth metrics, building models and reports to provide actionable insights for strategic decision-making and forecasting customer trends.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Engineering, Math, or Computer Science.
• Experience: 1+ years of finance experience; 2+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience; 2+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses; experience using data to influence business decisions; experience in corporate finance including budgeting/planning, forecasting, and reporting.
• Skills: Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase, SQL, VBA
• Bonus: 2+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects to scale and improve controllership with measurable results; experience in TM1 and Data Warehouse.
