FP&A Analyst | OpenX

The Tone:
This is a role at OpenX, located in Los Angeles, CA. OpenX builds digital advertising markets and technologies designed to deliver optimal value to publishers and advertisers across all screens. This FP&A Analyst role is critical for steering the financial growth of OpenX through the delivery of world-class financial intelligence, guidance, and services. The finance team values reliability, integrity, fearless stewardship, objectivity, rigor, and strategic insight to support the business.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Analyze industry trends, business performance, and key performance indicators for the finance and overall organization.
• Perform forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and long-range planning activities.
• Drive scenario and sensitivity analyses to directly support the company’s strategic initiatives.
• Produce, automate, and visualize data for dashboards, including the creation of ad-hoc dashboards as business needs arise.
• Continuously improve forecasting and budgeting tools, specifically Adaptive, and build a deep understanding of financial processes, including month-end close.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Math (Statistics), with an understanding of financial statements and basic accounting principles.
• Experience: 1-2 years of relevant experience in forecasting, financial modeling, analysis, and project management.
• Skills: Proven proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and Google Slides; comfort working with large data sets; excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present to senior leadership; detail-oriented, organized, and adaptable to changing environments.
• Bonus: Experience in Adaptive Insights or an equivalent tool; SQL experience.
