What You’ll Actually Do
• Oversight: Provide comprehensive oversight of transactional and financial operations, accounting, and administrative support within the Information Technology department for the School of Communication.
• Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact for faculty, staff, guest performers, and vendors regarding payment and financial transaction processes.
• Compliance: Manage payment and financial transaction processes, ensuring strict adherence to industry and professional standards, university policy and procedure, and all applicable federal and state laws and regulations.
• Representation: Guide the business area on internal and external financial affairs through information exchange.
• Administrative Support: Offer general administrative support to the Senior Director of Information Technology for the School of Communication, which may include screening calls and visitors.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor’s or higher degree in a major such as accounting, business administration, finance, or a related field; an appropriate combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Experience: 1 year of relevant experience in financial, budgeting, and/or preparing account reconciliations or financial statements along with financial analysis.
• Skills: Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in the use of spreadsheet, database, and word processing software; familiarity with financial reporting.
