We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Foreign Medical Graduate (FMG) to join our primary care team. Job Description

As a Foreign Medical Graduate in our primary care practice, you will work closely with our experienced physicians and healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. This role provides a unique opportunity to apply your existing medical knowledge and clinical skills while gaining invaluable experience within the U.S. healthcare system. This position is ideally suited for FMGs who possess a passion for primary care and are eager to further their medical careers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Care Assistance: Assist physicians in providing comprehensive primary care services to patients, including conducting thorough patient interviews, accurately taking medical histories, and performing physical examinations.
  • Chronic Condition Management & Prevention: Support the management of chronic health conditions, actively participate in preventive care initiatives, and assist with health screenings.
  • Collaborative Care Planning: Collaborate effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop, implement, and monitor individualized patient care plans.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients comprehensively on crucial aspects of health maintenance, disease prevention strategies, and available treatment options, empowering them to make informed health decisions.
  • Administrative and Documentation Tasks: Perform essential administrative tasks, including meticulous documentation of patient information in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and managing patient follow-up procedures.
  • Quality Improvement & Compliance: Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere strictly to established practice protocols and guidelines.
  • Confidentiality & Ethics: Maintain absolute patient confidentiality and rigorously adhere to all HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) guidelines.
  • Continuous Professional Development: Stay current with the latest medical knowledge and advancements through ongoing continuing education and professional development activities.

Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Possess a medical degree from an accredited foreign medical school.
  • Clinical Acumen: Demonstrate strong clinical skills and a solid, foundational understanding of primary care principles.
  • Communication Skills: Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills, consistently applying a patient-centered approach.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • EMR Proficiency: Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a significant advantage (a plus).
  • Language Skills: Bilingual or multilingual skills are highly desirable, reflecting the diverse nature of our patient population.
  • ECFMG Certification: ECFMG (Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates) certification is preferred but not an absolute requirement for this role.
  • Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
