Financial Analyst Lead | Riverview Health

This is a critical role at Riverview Health, supporting system financial operations across the organization. The Financial Analyst Lead is instrumental in ensuring financial accuracy and operational alignment across hospital teams and clinical leadership. This role is vital for translating complex financial and operational data into meaningful insights, directly empowering strategic and operational decision-making throughout the system.

What You’ll Actually Do
• System Financial Coordination: Coordinate and actively support the system finance team by delivering actionable financial information, including in-depth analysis, comprehensive reporting, and pro forma development, all designed to effectively support critical operational and strategic decision-making across the organization.
• Accounting Oversight: Oversee and meticulously support the core accounting processes that pertain to hospital and related assets, ensuring absolute accuracy, consistency in application, and the maintenance of appropriate financial controls throughout the system.
• Forecasting & Economic Analysis: Ensure that financial forecasting is performed effectively and with high accuracy; additionally, develop robust analysis of key economic indicators to thoroughly assess the organization’s short-term, medium-term, and long-term financial position.
• Inventory Management: Lead and actively support both mid-year and periodic inventory counts, taking responsibility for coordinating with various cross-functional groups to guarantee proper execution, thorough documentation, and accurate valuation.
• Financial Reporting & Insight: Interpret a wide range of complex financial and operational data, encompassing costs, prices, expenses, revenues, and various clinical or operational measures, ultimately developing clear, data-driven recommendations that guide senior management’s decisions.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Mid-Career level.
• Experience: Three (3) years of relevant financial, accounting, or operational analysis experience.
• Skills: Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals (inventory, assets, liabilities, forecasting), Advanced Excel capabilities (including Power Query), Financial and operational data interpretation, Consultative analysis and problem-solving.
• Bonus: Two (2) or more years’ experience in healthcare.
