As a Financial Analyst, your work, from modeling business scenarios to tracking performance metrics, directly informs strategic company decisions made by Google’s leaders. The Finance organization serves as a crucial partner and advisor, providing in-depth analysis on all strategic decisions across Google’s diverse product portfolio. This role requires a focus on details while creatively solving large-scale challenges, particularly within the nascent Generative AI product area.

• Team: Part of the Finance organization, partnering with Search and K&I.
• Mission: This role is responsible for leading financial evaluation and providing proactive guidance to enable agile decision-making for Generative AI technologies and ecosystem incentives.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Lead Evaluation: Lead the financial evaluation, scoping, and modeling of potential partnerships, licensing agreements, and scaled remuneration structures for Generative AI technologies and ecosystem incentives.
• Build Relationships: Build trusted advisor relationships with leaders in a high-growth, ambiguous environment, offering proactive financial guidance to enable agile decision-making across the Search and K&I organization.
• Demonstrate Autonomy: Demonstrate a high degree of autonomy and extreme ownership to adapt seamlessly to changing priorities, moving from technical data processing to high-level executive storytelling for executive leadership.
• Conduct Analysis: Conduct data-driven analyses to quantify the net financial impact of Generative AI products, including AI Overviews (AIO) and AI Mode (AIM), on business, query growth, core search metrics, and infrastructure/machine resource allocation.
• Collaborate on Planning: Collaborate with broader finance and cross-functional colleagues to iterate on the Long Range Plan (LRP) and manage resource allocations for nascent and rapidly evolving AI products and ecosystem programs.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience: 4 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, or 2 years with an advanced degree.
• Skills: Strong data analytics background with the ability to liaise with partners in Product, Engineering, Partnerships, and DS&E to understand datasets and run analyses; ability to self-initiate and self-direct work in unstructured environments; ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail, accountability, and ownership for end-to-end project lifecycle.
• Bonus: Acumen to build relationships in a nascent product area.
