Financial Analyst, FP&A | National Association of REALTORS®

This is an early career position at the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), located in a hybrid capacity based in the Chicago office. NAR is a team of professionals dedicated to providing world-class service to approximately 1.5 million REALTORS® across the United States and globally, focused on empowering its members to preserve, protect, and advance the right to real property for all. This role is crucial, sitting at the intersection of financial strategy and operational execution, supporting the translation of complex data into the insights that drive NAR’s planning, investment, and leadership decisions. You will contribute to the budgeting and forecasting cycle, support platform buildout, and help deliver financial clarity within a large, mission-driven organization.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Planning: Support the development of annual budgets and long-range forecasts, coordinating with department heads to gather inputs and ensure alignment with NAR’s strategic plan.
• Management Reporting: Support the preparation of monthly management reporting packages for senior leadership, presenting financial performance with clarity and context.
• System Buildout: Contribute to the buildout of NAR’s NetSuite Planning & Budgeting platform, developing proficiency as an internal resource and supporting user adoption.
• Process Improvements: Support ongoing improvements to budgeting and forecasting processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
• Cross-Functional Partnership: Partner with key departments to provide financial modeling support and ongoing performance insights, fostering a culture of financial accountability.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Experience: 2+ years of experience in FP&A, Corporate Finance, or a related analytical role; relevant internship experience will be considered.
• Skills: Strong financial modeling skills and proficiency in Excel, ability to communicate financial analysis and recommendations clearly, familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau, collaborative and relationship-oriented, highly organized and self-directed.
• Bonus: Experience with NetSuite Planning & Budgeting.
