The Tone:
This is a Financial Analyst role at Shiseido Americas, located in New York, NY. Shiseido Americas is a subsidiary of the world-renowned Shiseido Company Limited, managing a portfolio of prestige beauty brands including NARS and Tory Burch. This role provides critical financial insights to drive strategic decision-making across international brands. The successful candidate will play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis, contributing to high-impact strategic projects that shape the future of Shiseido’s global brand portfolio.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Planning & Analysis: Manage budgeting and reporting processes for US global brand P&L statements.
• Performance Analysis: Conduct comprehensive variance analysis to explain performance drivers, trends, and business insights.
• Strategic Support: Analyze the profitability of new product launches, evaluate discontinuations, and provide recommendations for portfolio optimization.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Marketing, Operations, and Product teams to develop accurate forecasts and strategic financial plans.
• Reporting & Improvement: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, maintaining and enhancing financial models while identifying process improvements.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. This role is for an early career professional.
• Experience: 1-2+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or related finance roles. Demonstrated experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and understanding of P&L dynamics and financial statement analysis.
• Skills: Expert-level proficiency in Excel, including financial modeling, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and complex formulas. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present complex financial information clearly.
• Bonus: Strong business acumen and curiosity about understanding business drivers.
