What You’ll Actually Do
• Reporting: Coordinate and improve the division’s recurring financial and performance-related management reporting, including budget variance reports and scorecards.
• Analysis: Provide financial analysis and counsel to division leaders regarding operational performance, as well as feasibility studies and ad hoc analyses.
• Evaluation: Conduct evaluations of planned initiatives, strategies, and vendor support to determine their financial impact.
• Budgeting: Coordinate and facilitate the ongoing planning and development of the division’s annual strategic plan and operating budget.
• Communication: Prepare and deliver recurring communications and presentations concerning financial and operating performance to division leaders and the Operations/IT CFO.
The Must-Haves
• Background: BA Degree in Accounting or Finance is required, along with significant exposure to banking, including a strong understanding of line of business areas and operations/information technology.
• Experience: 5 or more years of relevant experience, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and accounting at a corporate-wide or divisional level.
• Skills: Strong financial systems experience (e.g., Hyperion, SAP, Axiom, Microsoft Excel), strong knowledge of financial valuation techniques, broad GAAP knowledge, and strong communication, organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Bonus: MBA preferred.
