What You’ll Actually Do
• Reporting: Prepare and compile comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery for various stakeholders.
• Planning: Actively support the development and execution of budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes across the organization.
• Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of financial performance, meticulously identifying key trends, potential risks, and opportunities, and performing detailed variance analyses to understand deviations from planned results.
• Modeling: Design, develop, and maintain robust financial models, intuitive dashboards, and essential management reports that provide critical business insights.
• Collaboration: Effectively partner with diverse cross-functional teams to gather necessary data, provide valuable financial insights, and contribute to ad hoc analyses and special projects as assigned.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Economics. This is an entry-level professional role designed for individuals looking to build a career foundation in corporate finance and business analysis.
• Experience: Zero to two years of professional experience in finance or other related analytical functions. Candidates should demonstrate a capacity for working with data and possess strong business acumen.
• Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, including the ability to develop complex models and clear presentations. Requires strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving abilities, coupled with excellent written and verbal communication skills, keen attention to detail, and robust organizational capabilities. The ability to manage multiple priorities effectively is also essential.
• Bonus: Prior internship or full-time experience in investment banking, management consulting, corporate finance, or transaction advisory services is highly valued. Familiarity with financial planning and reporting systems such as Planful, Adaptive, or Hyperion, along with practical experience in financial modeling and data analysis, and a solid knowledge of financial statements and basic accounting principles, will be beneficial.
